Why We're Here

When we first started talking to schools, one thing became immediately obvious: hiring teachers is painfully slow. You’d think with all the technology around us, this would be simple—but it’s not. Schools were telling us stories of spending three weeks to three months just to find a teacher who actually fits the role. And while this is happening, teacher turnover is high, classes go uncovered, and student learning suffers.

It got us thinking: why is this so hard?

Some schools have dedicated HR teams, sure. But in a lot of places, the principal is the one juggling hiring, interviewing, and onboarding—on top of everything else they’re responsible for. That’s exhausting, inefficient, and frankly, unfair. And then there’s this bigger issue: some schools, often with the same pay scale, are able to attract top talent because of their brand names, while others struggle with less qualified candidates. This just didn’t sit right with us.

So we decided to do something about it.
